I designed the package of Cerealism, an imaginary cereal brand that produces bio-organic, gluten-free and healthy foods, so instead of using a box, I decided on a biosourced cardboard bag that’s recyclable.
As for the concept, I drew a geometric pattern with elements that show that it’s natural (leaf), cereal (wheat), flavors (honey), etc. in the background. I mainly used yellow, which is the thematic color of flavor, and also used the opposite color, blue, to attract the customer. The main typography is Roboto Slab, which is bold so it’s easy to read even when serifed. The reason I chose this typeface is that when I did an Internet search, most organic products had serif typography. I used real photos of the cereal on the packaging, so buyers could tell at a glance that it was cereal, then showed the actual product to give them confidence in the product’s appearance.
